This is the first in my ongoing series of Ancient Illuminated Manuscript inspired quilts.  This is a representation of  Chaucer’s  Prologue to The Canterbury Tales.    

Canterbury Knight

Completed in 2015

The second in my ancient illuminated manuscript inspired quilts.  This from an  11th Century illuminated manuscript of Geoffrey  Chaucer's Canterbury Tales (this is the tale of the Knight),  Center original design and the border is inspired by an 11th century illuminated manuscript with some changes.

 This quilt, representing King Arthur and the knights of the round table,  was designed by my oldest son Ken,  This quilt is the third in my ongoing series of ancient  illuminated manuscript-inspired quilts.  The text below the central  picture is in old English.
